Swiss watchmaker Tissot announced plans to nearly double its stores in Japan to 300 locations over the next few years. Tissot is a part of the Swatch group and currently about 170 stores in Japan –a number it intends to grow to 220 locations this year.
According to Nikkei:
The brand is popular for its versatile designs that allow for use in both casual and formal settings, and its wide price range, with prices starting at several hundred dollars and going up into the thousands of dollars.
The brand will open shop in department stores and watch stores, and is considering sales at boutiques as well. The Swiss watchmaker aims to draw in customers by showcasing its products’ state-of-the-art technology and sophisticated designs.
